About Kathleen

I have always been a keen and intuitive observer of human behaviour but I’ve specifically been a student and educator of the science of emotional well-being for the past several years.  As a teacher for 30 years, I have come to know the importance of happiness as a perspective or mindset and its role in mastery and success.

I believe that happiness can be taught and learned as a set of repeated skills or a practice much the same as learning an instrument, physical fitness or yoga and meditation.   Through much research, trial and correction, I have developed a happiness practice in my own life that has improved the quality of my everyday functioning and interaction.

Early in my exploration, I was privileged to align myself with ‘Live Happy’ Magazine, where I was honoured to be named ‘Global Happy Activist’ in Education for August 2018.  In 2019 a partner and I launched Mission:Happy Threads,  a clothing line that features positive messages meant suggest a better mindset.  I retired from classroom teaching in June of 2020 and have since completed the Yale University program ‘The Science of Well-Being’ and an accredited certification as a ‘Happiness Life Coach’ with Transformation Academy.

I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to discover interesting things about yourself and how you see the world. I have created an educational series called ‘Choosing Happy’ that is meant to be a useful tool in the exploration and improvement of ones own happiness. Imagine what it might be like to experience your day in a more positive way and enjoy all the benefits of a happier life.
